Yeah, they sold one lad to Bournemouth I think. Or was it Leicester? Or perhaps Birmingham? Or even Stoke?
Good discussion here lads,
is Andy Keogh still playing?, i head Pilkington at Norwich might be Irish as well
Andy Keogh is lording it in the Championship under the avuncular eye of Kenny Jackett at Millwall.
Pilkington would have been called up for a recent friendly but he was crocked. Iâm not 100% sure that he would have accepted the call-up, there wasnât a whole heap written about it, but I think he probably would have.
Yer man Pilkington is shit. So is yer man Tierney.
Can you let us know if they score a goal or come on as a sub throughout the season?
Please ensure you adhere to the correct format of the post as well, it should be maximum one line and preferably posted around 4pm on a Saturday afternoon

Being relegated and are now also rans in Division One of the CDSL with a number of lads who were average B team players 3 or 4 years ago. Iâd doub they are playing better stuff
Are we seriously going playing Germany with OâDea at centre half?
They could really go medieval on us
on his day he is the best Centre Half we have ever produced- no one has played centre half at his level before or since
I donât think there has been an Ireland match over the past 2 years when there has been talks of OâDea starting that KIB hasnât predicted that we could be in for a hammering. Hasnât happened yet, but i suppose once it finally dones KIB will tell us all how right he was.
Reminds me of that expression about a stopped clock
Didnât predict the Kazakhs or Macedonia would hammer Ireland
Nnnnnext
whatâs that expression now?
My brother scored an absolute cracker for College Corinthians in the FAI intermediate cup at the weekend.
Ill see if its on you tube,
I have great time for that club, many of the Ramblers players like my ould fella and his mates joined them after the 83 cup semi final defeat to Sligo, that defeat saw that Cobh team fall apart.
Currently Brian Lenihan who is in the Irish u-19 squad started his career with Corinthians
Ronnie OâBrien probably played a few times centre half in the MSL
bossing the best team in europe for 120 minutes was a remarkable achievement for such a young player
when he is up for it there is no better centre half

Current and former Corinthian players star for the Republic Of Ireland
During the week, the Club received the great news from the FAI that College Corinthians under 17 player Craig Donnellan had been selected on the Republic Of Ireland under 17 squad to take part in the European Qualifiers in Macedonia from September 24[sup]th[/sup] to October 5[sup]th[/sup]. The Irish team will play against Romania, Macedonia and Sweden with the top two teams making it through to the final qualifying phase. I am sure you will join with me in wishing Craig and his team mates the very best of luck in the qualifiers.
Craigâs selection completes a marvellous week for the Club which has seen former Corinthians Schoolboy star David Meyler make his senior international debut for Ireland against Oman, Brian Lenihan making his under 19 debut for the Republic Of Ireland away to Latvia and Megan Connolly captaining and scoring twice for the Republic Of Ireland under 17 ladies team against Denmark
I am sure you will agree it is fantastic to see all of the above players who started out with Corinthians as five and six year olds wearing the green
David Meyler joined Corinthians in 1995 and was part of one of the most successful schoolboy teams the Club has ever had winning a hat trick of league and cup doubles in the Cork Schoolboys League. Indeed four of that team went on to represent Ireland at various levels. In 2005 David moved to Cobh Ramblers and then Cork City before joining Sunderland in 2009. He was capped by Irealnd at under 19 and under 21 level and on Wednesday night made his senior debut in Irelands 4-1 victory over Oman. Hopefully this will be the first of many Caps for David. As most of you will know David has never forgotten his roots and last summer returned to present the trophies at our Street League Finals day.
Brian Lenihan started with Corinthians as a six year old in 2000, he captained a Corinthians under 11 team that reached the National Cup final in 2006 and won several league and cup medals with various Corinthians sides. He was capped by the Republic Of Ireland at under 15, 16 and 17 age levels and played for the Irish Schools teams in the home international championships last season. He made his debut as a sixteen year old with the College Corinthians senior team in 2011 and helped
Corinthians senior side win both the Keane Cp and Beamish Cup last season. He moved to Cork City during the summer and shortly afterwards made his League Of
Ireland debut when introduced as substitute against St. Patricks Ath. Still only 18 Brian was called up for the Republic Of Ireland under 19 squad to play Latvia last weekend and he excelled in as Paul Doolans side played out a 1-1 draw.
Megan Connolly joined Corinthians in 2004 and immediately made an impact as she played alongside the boys in the Non Competitive Seven A Side leagues. It was obvious from an early age that she had star potential and when Corinthians started girls teams in 2005 she quickly came to the fore as Corinthians made an immediate impact in the girls leagues. Over the last five or six years she has won numerous league and cup doubles with the club and has been capped by the Irish Schools Under 16 side.on several occasions. Still only 15, Megan captained the Republic Of Ireland under 17 side last week against Denmark scoring twice as Ireland beat Denmark 2-0.
Craig Donnellan joined Corinthians as a six year old in 2002, he made am immediate impression and he has been a superb player and leader for the Club ever since. He has been a key figure in one of the most successful schoolboy sides ever to grace Cork soccer as the Corinthians squad led by Craig won the league and cup double every season from under 11 to under 16. Craig has been capped by Ireland at under 15, 16 and 17 age levels and has had the honour of captaining his country on several occasions. He will undoubtedly have a central role at the heart of the Irish midfield in next weeks qualifiers.
The Club is very proud of all our players and teams who win, lose or draw go out and wear the Corinthians jersey with a sense of pride. It is fantastic to see that some of our former youngsters have gone on to represent their Country as no matter what sport you play, there can be no greater honour then wearing your countryâs jersey.
Well done to all concerned

Leighton Gleeson of Courtown Hibs won the recent âWexford & District League - Greatest Ever Playerâ award sponsored by The Wexford People newspaper group. He beat off competition from the likes of Kevin Doyle and John âBradâ OâNeill to scoop the prestigious prize.
That was the genius of Strachan. Without his guidance OâDea failed in the second tier of English football and even in the SPL.
