Irish Soccer Players Abroad

Good auld read. Sounds like his folks had their heads screwed on with the advice they gave him to go and study in America. (and the funds as well I would guess to facilitate it). A nice career carved out in Austin for himself. You’d settle for it if you got it.

I assume there’s absolutely no truth in this.

Waterford’s own James Abankwah made his Serie A debut for Udinese yesterday. He came on in the 86th minute.

April fools?

Udinese is an Irish stronghold between himself and Festy.

April Fools for sure. Like David Clifford transferring up to Kilmacrud Crokes

Bazunu is useless

Obvious he came through a Chicken League academy.

Sadly he’ll be playing championship football next season.

Agent Bazunu doing his best

Might be better off. Still very young and away from the limelight for a while

This week saw the first time in PL history that a full round of games was played without an Irish player starting any of the 10 games. Although 3 Irish international caps (senior and underage) did.

Burnley and Sheff United both have good Irish contingents at least

Festy after assisting against Sampdoria. He started as well. Maybe he’s not doing too bad after all.

Bazunu dropped by Southampton for their must win game away to Forest.

:grimacing:

He was dropped 3-4 games ago bud.
