Irish soccerball nil - That boy Bazunu will save us (Part 1) šŸ

ā€¦Enter Glenn

I dunno mate, Iā€™d watch a fair bit of Spurs and I couldnā€™t agree with the first bit, he is consistently very good, always gets on the ball a lot

he doesnā€™t like it up him from the games ive seen. youā€™ve probably watched more games then me though (and Iā€™m a yid)ā€¦he is the stand out player tonight though there is no doubt.

Of course he listens to them. Thatā€™s why he trusts them with the coaching and brings Walford to all his jobs.

I know youā€™d like to be revisionist about this but Oā€™Neill is enormously successful as a football manager. Very few have his success ratio, particularly those operating with second tier clubs.

You donā€™t have any evidence to disagree with any of this. But then youā€™re the chap who told us years ago that Robbie Keane is a problem in the dressing room which was hilariously ill-informed.

Ireland donā€™t have a glut of talented top level professionals on the fringes who Oā€™Neill refuses to play. Iā€™m not really sure what strengths we have in the squad that heā€™s ignoring.

He might be loyal to players but thatā€™s no bad thing when he gets repaid with commitment in spades. Listen to ex players like Larsson or Sutton or Keane talk about him and how he made them feel invincible and you might learn something about his skills. And obviously man management isnā€™t enough on its own but itā€™s a large part of Oā€™Neillā€™s success - a success the likes of Scotland or Wales would love but havenā€™t achieved despite their superior players.

Few lenghty interventions from the TMO and we might miss the start of the soccer altogether :joy:

I doubt a friendly game of rugby would be allowed run in to a football international like that, broā€¦ but theyā€™re doing us a favour tonight by not having to listen to Dunphy and co waffle onā€¦ Straight into Amhran Ni bhfainn and off we goā€¦ No Irelandā€™s call before you ask, the football guys dont sing it.

I agree with a large portion of the bottom oart of that.

I think he is dated. And personally i stick to my belief that they are either not doing good analysis and furthermore suitable training (and he recently indicayed there is fuck all you can do in the time frame, which i think is a cop out) and i donā€™t believe him and his managemebt team have a good grasp on what they have now or have im fromt of them.

The putrid home performances show this.

And by the way. Elite performance is not about feeling invincable. Empiwerimg players to think thru a game too is a critical aspect. And this is why he is a average manager.

Your point is largely spot on but Scotland do not have superior players to Ireland .

Nice piece with George in todayā€™s Times

Heā€™s a brit. He wanted them to qualify.

Watch out for Poulsen tonight lads.

Professionals always spell check, Kev. Try it, mate.

I watch lots of gaa so i know that. What about the soccer

Yes . If the jokers had beat the Serbs and Austria in Aviva there would be no need for a play off .

Lame.

You are waffling on trying to get a rise. So furiously so you canā€™t type slow enough to spell correctly you stumpy fingered cunt.

:joy::joy::joy:
