I agree, there are very good players coming through. Obafemi and O’Shea should be added to that squad though.
Think we need to move on from the likes of McCarthy, Hendrick and O’Dowda. Hendrick had a good month in 16’ the other 2 have never done it for Ireland

Talent-wise definitely, I’d say he is worried whether he has the gas tank to get around the pitch at international level, plus, playing League of Ireland, he can’t really find out there.
Actually, Byrne is probably of most skilful player all told.
Virgin Media awarded MotM to O’Dowda. He did absolutely nothing in the second half after a decent first half.
Didn’t Byrne run the show against Bulgaria last year when a scratch Irish side dominated Bulgaria and won 3-1.
