Is gender dysphoria treatable by surgery?

This is what he posted that in reaction to. Lebane also brought up the lobotomy example from the early 60s earlier on.

You haven’t answered my questions, and also it hasn’t been explained in any way by either you or @anon7035031 how lobotomies are relevant to this debate.

@sidney, needing a new lung when yours is fucked is not the same as someone with a vagina wanting a penis or vica versa

however if my penis was fucked and beyond repair and it was going to kill me and there was some sort of replacement system where i could get another one and id live to fight another day then id consider replacing it alright

You might want to go back and disagree with what you wrote earlier, then, because it now appears you don’t believe in “playing the cards Mother Nature has dealt us” at all.

@Sidney you cant go round playing pin the tail on the donkey with human beings

if you are born a man then you are a man, if you are born a man with a faggotty walk then be a man with a faggotty walk. if you are born a woman with an ugly butch demeanor then likewise play that card if you wish or get a makeover and a personal shopper in brown tomas. but none of us are perfect. im destroyed with a skin condition all my life but i took it on the chin, @fisty the same with his one eye, you never hear him complaining. kevs bird with the peg leg went on to qualify as a fitness instructer, inspirational stuff.
these transgenders need to man up. if you are born with a cock its generally a good sign that God intended you to be a man. if you have a gowl then keep it clean and trimmed and get the fuck on with it and be grateful for the gift

There are far more slaves today than at any time in human history. The clothing, coffee, chocolate and obviously sex trade are all based on slavery. It is typical of the looney left to be outraged about slavery that ended 150 years ago while wearing clothes, drinking coffee and watching porn produced by slaves.

The classic example is the outrage of the left in Ireland at human rights violations conveniently thousands of miles away while being oblivious to similar violations 50 miles up the road. Worse than that, forming a coalition with blueshirt wankers collaborating with the pricks doing the oppressing. Moral relativism at its finest.

I could also believe you’re being an asshole today, but stay open to changing that belief tomorrow.

You completely contradict what you say in paragraph 1 with what you say in paragraph 2.

Other than that, you come across as slightly deranged there.

Both paragraphs are in perfect alignment. They both reference the hypocrisy of bring outraged by issues far removed in time or geography, while ignoring injustice on one’s our doorstep because it’s inconvenient to oppose it.

In paragraph 1 you say the “looney left” (the first giveaway that you’re ranting in a completely incoherent manner) don’t care about the working conditions of people thousands of miles away.

Then, at the start of paragraph 2, you directly contradict yourself by saying the left is “outraged” at human rights violations thousands of miles away.

That was quite easy.

As to what “being oblivious to similar violations 50 miles up the road” is trying to get at, I’m not sure even you know what you’re on about there, so I certainly don’t.

The rest of your post raises troubling questions about your attitude to human rights in general.

You are stretching English comprehension to its limits to find conflict where there is none. The point I am making is it is easy to get outraged about distant human rights violations, while ignoring those close to home that you can actually do something about. If people are seriously offended by slavery then boycott products and companies utilizing slavery today.

If you can’t comprehend human rights violations 50 miles up the road from Dublin then I can’t help you further. Clearly I am referencing the era before and during the NI “troubles” when the left in Ireland were agast at events in South Africa but wouldn’t raise a murmer about abuses an hours drive away.

Who are ‘the’ left, pal?

What are the chances Sid is on Google maps this minute to disprove this alleged distance and travel time?

And what human rights violations close to home is “the left” ignoring? I think I can already guess the answer on this one, and if it’s the answer I think it’ll be, it’s a wholly wrong one.

Is Sinn Fein part of the “looney left”? Is the SDLP part of the looney left?

You actually think “the left” (as if the left is some kind of singular bogey man) “turned a blind eye” to human rights violations in the North? What are you on about?

You’ve made quite clear in recent weeks that you’re firmly to the right on the US political spectrum. You’re the one with questions to answer as to where that leaves you in terms of your regard for human rights anywhere, given the US right’s flagrant disregard for human rights on a global scale.

But apparently people who campaign for human rights in any area are now “hypocrites”.

You are a deeply, deeply confused person with a serious imagined victim complex.

A rudimentary knowledge of geography can already tell you that.

I doubt you’d have mentioned it in the first place if you hadn’t looked up Google Maps.

To the left, to the left… everything you own in a box to the left…

Who knew the left was a real life destination. About an hours drive, or 50 miles away, from ‘the loony left’ … All aboard.

I am conservative on most economic issues and liberal on most social issues i.e. perfectly balanced. But carry on with the ad hominim, the sure sign of a beaten docket.

“Conservative on most economic issues and liberal on most social issues” would very strongly indicate you’d be a Fine Gael supporter if you were voting in Ireland.

If you want to talk about turning a blind eye to human rights violations in the North (as well as right in the centre of Dublin in 1974) during the Troubles, look no further than the party that represents your political viewpoint on both economic and most social issues.

You’re the one who started the ranting when you went off on one about the “looney left”.

This is approaching @maroonandwhite meltdown territory.

The extreme left in the current form are the types seen here, flagging a post from @ironmoth which had the gall to to suggest that transgender operations don’t work. You are immediately labeled a biggot for not conforming to their viewpoint and are shut down. They are a union between social justice warriors and regressive left folks.

These creatures have invaded student politics. They want to shut down free speech and want safe spaces. If someone is offended by something that the person who has made the “offensive” remark should be attacked and shut down.

Recent hobby horses which they have taken up;

  • Black Lives Matter: an organisation which does nothing to advance the cause of African Americans but instead looks to perpetuate a victim status
  • Gender Pay Gap: something that doesn’t exist beyond people making different life choices. This is still a pressing issue for these people, the white male is still tramping on the poor female folk out there
  • Transgender issues: the last great issue in “Civil Rights” according to Time:joy:
  • You are a scumbag if think immigration should be controlled and that there isn’t a glaring issue at the heart of Islam.
