It was nothing to do with budget. The Dallas office is new so the guy there is sitting around scratching and the Bangalore one is jam pakced with people. We have a load of projects and clients so it was decided that from a resource point of view it was better to have these lads scratching their bollocks in a conference room in England than me spending time in either.
What harm I’d say I will be doing well to get 3 days worth of content out of what I have to handover
online since 6pm and will probably be online for another couple of hours. Have cooked and eaten my dinner, cleaned the kitchen and now watching a second episode of Parks and Recreations while the goons in server support do all the heavy lifting while I send out the odd alert to being on call:pint:

My functional colleague is after making a monumental fuck up while running a background job. After bringing our biggest client to its knees. Looks like that is my weekend ruined
It will be me picking up the pieces and trying to populate a half dozen tables with the half a million records or so she wiped. Boss is running around the place like a blue arsed fly
On a bridge with DRM at the moment about doing a system restore but I think that will make an even bigger fuck of things

Yes, but that was a bag of piss of an idea. Have ops winding back their processes and anything they can’t wind back they will just hav to process manually and get on with it. Backup would make an awful fuck of things
Christ I have been on fire this afternoon:clap:[/QUOTE]

I lost one of my testers today. She is out for the next 6 weeks on sick leave with immediate effect. I learned this at 10am this morning and 5 hours later I have a complete grasp of all her workload. This workload I will delegate to some Indian young fella on Monday and let him no in no uncertain terms that his career depends on it.
I have a weekly update status call to attend now with a bunch of utter cunts in Seattle but we’re on track so they can go and fuck.
Roll on 5pm and a clear mind for the weekend ahead.
