There was a fire. I don’t know the specifics

He says as he flicks a lighter open and shut.

Looks as though the issues facing my clients have been resolved. Can log off now thankfully. Handy 5 and a half hours overtime for drinking tea and playing the xbox

Anybody have any experience in developing apps?

Is it possible to build one without any coding using a software package?

What kind of app?
Mobile apps?
Exes on Windows?
Web sites?

I have made a few exes from C# recently. I’m a mediocre coder.
I’d like to start making mobile apps but I haven’t really got around to it.
I have an iPhone but I’m not a mac guy. If Windows Phone 8 is any good I’ll probably switch to that and start making apps for that.

iphone app.
Was just wondering if there was any decent app building software you could use.
I know feck all coding beyond HTML, CSS and very basic php.

I’d say you’d need a Mac and some kind of Visual Studio type Mac program.
I only half looked into it and gave up pretty quickly. Seemed overly messy.

Correct it’s a pain in the hole.

Sounds like it won’t be worth the hassle so.
It’s for work anyways so I’ll just get someone in to do it.

After working late Friday, all day Saturday, all day Sunday and all of this morning, I have finally solved a network issue that was causing serious problems. This calls for a:

Ulster Bank again?

Runt did you not have a football game plus celebration in the middle of that?

I did indeed. Finished in there 3:30 on Saturday, went and won the match, drank till 03:30, and back in at 12 Sunday morning.

That’s the afternoon, you goon

Hmmmmm, so my anti-virus decided to classify itself as a virus, thus moving it’s main features to the quaratine area, meaning that even though the anti-virus company have rolled out an update to fix the issue, the machine can’t download the update because the update service is in quarantine. Not much of an issue for one machine, but when you have 100 machines… :shakefist:

Dunph will be along soon to offer the best advice on this.

Dude…

His stance on anti-virus software certainly has been vindicated this morning. I knew should have listened to him.

this…?

We are currently receiving a massive influx of calls from customers relating to a Sophos update that was released last night.
We have been notified by Sophos that this is causing a ‘false negative’ and were assured that there was no serious issue, but have been given a manual fix to carry out which we are currently attempting to apply to all our 200+ Sophos customers.

Since we were notified we have discovered that this is actually have a SERIOUS NEGATIVE IMPACT on a variation of customer software from Micropay to Sage accounts. We contacted Sophos and have since been advised to tell our customers NOT to remove anything from quarantine.

If your customers contact you, please advised them of the above and log a call with the support centre for action.

We are currently arranging to send a mailshot to all of these customer to advise of the issue and will attach the document that was released by Sophos this morning which explains how to resolve the issues.
