Are you trying to crack a windows login or a different system?

I’d hope he’s trying to protect the system rather than break into one :astonished:

I’m going to brute force a heap of TFK accounts.

To successfully defend you must know where the holes are.

Ok, I’ve already compromised two accounts using the password Limerick2018

Try AIChamps2020

Limerick1973 would open a few of the older ones I’d say

Wexford1996 was probably the most successful hack in TFK history

That’ll get a few galway ones.

“Password” or “1234” should do the Tipp ones.

I’m looking to get Port 1433 opened for an SQL server but our IT department are hesitant to open it. Is there any alternative port I could use or should I just give up and shove my thumb up my hole?

1433 here mate. What reasons are they giving? Its a business requirement surely

Why do you need to open it to the internet? Does it need to interface with a remote system somewhere? The port number you use doesnt really matter, it might mean it’s not picked up by basic automated ping scans but would be trivial for someone who was actually targeting you to detect the alternative port. I learned a phrase once: Security through obscurity is not security.

There will be a number of Android devices connected to the database using an custom application on the internal WiFi.

IT have come back to me with an alternative port so crisis averted.

God Bless IT

Windows 7 RIP

The public sector are paying a fortune to Microsoft in 2020 for continued support.

We have a few PC’s that need Windows 7 and couldn’t be upgraded to Windows 10 so they had to be solidcored :upside_down_face:
