I find they can have hygiene related issues also. So best leave them at home to fuck.
It’s a never ending journey of self discovery all whilst been led by the Yankee dollar. Someday you’ll wake up and half the developers in Karnataka will have a dotted line into you and it will all have been worth it.
Rajesh needed to see Raja’s white picket fence.
It took Praveen and Anweshar 3 weeks to get past FR1 of the Design Spec
Lots of casual racism bandied about here
The idea of human developed software will be obsolete in 4 years.
I’m using AI at the moment to code a test framework for a new project; my TFK productivity levels will reach sky high
Thanks mate. Gives me great confidence. I almost chose computer science but the cunts can’t write code after four years and allegedly seem to have an awful handling even getting an interview these days as a result of that rep, in comparison to software dev grads. Hard to know. Would there be a few areas in tech that will be relatively future proof, bar security? I’ve just finished sec+ by Comptia, and recognised very quickly just how shit their jobs would be.
The disruption of AI is over exaggerated even in the world of software development. There are an amount of legacy systems where domain knowledge is still king and whilst the teams supporting these apps will reduce in size over the next 3-5 years as AI makes its mark… there will still be a need for coders.
There’s a few well known financial services and insurances companies highly dependent on the old Cobalt developer
That won’t help a junior dev looking to get his foot in the door. Entry level roles across all of IT are going to take a serious hit over the next 5 years.
Good to know. Cheers
Was reading an article there recently on prominent systems around the world which are to this day supported by very old systems.
The one that stood out, if I remember the details correctly, I think it was the SF tram or underground system, that the whole thing needs to be kickstarted in the morning by inserting a floppy disk into the system.
You’ll still see a fair few green screens walking around
A lot of bespoke software written by lads in the 1980’s who are due to retire. Key man dependency
And so many of them don’t have a clue of their real value….
Good little consultancy business for someone to get into here I think. Get in the door of somewhere and extract the specific knowledge from the fella.
Senator Craughwell?
Pandora’s box has been well and truly opened.
