It's grim up north

Like my great pal @ChairmanDan has had the same INTERNET persona for decades (!) now with his respect for the brethren etc etc & he’s even abstaining from wind ups on it. Everyone, if they’re being honest, recognises the pathetic playbook & these cunts trying to provoke isn’t any way funny. I see there’s an open letter originating from protestant civic society with lots of that community digitally adding their signatures. It’s basically telling the orange order to cop the fuck on & let people get on with their lives.

One of the last throws of the dice.

I sense that support from Brethern across the island is limited enough on this. Brethern in Portadown have scored a serious own goal over the past week, after briefly having the initiiative after their win in the Courts. They should have folded the tent and gone home last Sunday once it became apparent that even the silent walk of the 35 wasn’t welcome. Maybe they should look at having some new cultural celebrations at venues in places where they are welcome, possibly even within Eire after the runaway success of the day at the sea in Rosnowlagh, County Donegal.

It is a really bad look for the DUP, having Carla Lockhart front and central taking her lead and legal advice from Wee Jamie Bryson. My legal sources up north tell me that Wee Jamie has an Open University law degree but doesn’t have professional legal qualificaitons as a barrister, or even a solicitor. Jim Allister is a most eminent and learned Kings Counsel and there would be a suspiciton that Jim is really leading the way on legal matters. The catchphrase ‘Rule of Law’ over ‘Mob Rule’ has Jim’s fingerprints all over it.

You’re preaching to the choir here.

The reality is that these gobshites could have assembled at 3 am on a Wednesday morning in November, without telling a soul. They could have reclaimed their birthright half a dozen times and been home for a nap before breakfast. But what’s the point in marching if the taigs aren’t around to witness it?

Right, but the article you posted is by a TUV headbanger proclaiming the virtue of Organgemen being able to march wherever they want while those who don’t want them marching through their area are supposedly the “real” sectarians?

Isn’t that the same as how racists throughout the world tell us that people oppose racism are the real racists?

I’m convinced most of the North’s problems would disappear overnight if the Stephen Nolan Show on BBC Radio Ulster came to an end.

Each episode is rumoured to be broadcast on a 300 year delay.

“Everybody who opposes me tramping over the rights of Catholics is a Nazi”

Only realized Ben Lowry is gone from the News Letter and the very moderate Rodney Edwards is currently revamping the paper.

I did fine their reporting on Garvaghy Road to be very moderate compared to their usual standards.

I’d say there was some gurning from Lowry when he was let go.

Your man roaring is some ape when he manages to make bryson look sympathetic.

Ruth Dudley Edward’s got her cards as well

You’d miss the musings of @Corksfinedtboy at a time like this.
His comments wouldn’t be in any way inflammatory or biased at least.

Your swaying from absolute logic to crazy batshit mentalness is fascinating to witness. You have put two posts up that nail what the OO are up to here.

I’m spot on about everything, all the time

Has Michael Martin commented on this dangerous decision?

Not that I’ve heard yet. MLMcD was fit to explode with joy but she put on the serious gravitas face and reflection was mentioned.

Above a pub in Belfast, in a smoke filled room P.O’Neill is drafting a plan for reunification. Would he be Michelle’s uncle would you think.
