Jablonec v Celtic ☘ and vice versa

1645 (Fingal time) kick off this evening for the first leg.

No attendance restrictions likely to be in place for either leg.

Hart is in the Celtic squad and will surely start.
Other debates are whether Bitton keeps his place (seems likely) or whether Furuhashi or Christie gets in ahead of Abada or Forrest.

I think we’ll see

Hart

Ralston Bitton Starfelt Taylor

Soro
McGregor
Turnbull

Forrest Edouard Christie

But the front three options are really up for debate especially if Kyogo is considered an option centrally.

I’d be dropping Eddy, like playing with a man down at the minute.

I’d put Bolingoli in as well

I’d go with Abada and Christie on the wings.

Would be tempted to start Rogic ahead of Turnbull too.

I wouldn’t start Edouard either but seems like Ajeti hasn’t convinced Ange at all and hard to see how we can hold the ball up without him.

Rogic really needs to kick on if he’s to contribute this season. He hasn’t had many minutes but he didn’t really look sharp yet. If we keep Christie and have an in form Rogic we’d have some decent midfield options with Soro, McCarthy, Turnbull and McGregor too and maybe Shaw at some point.

Turnbull hasn’t been great so far. I’d give Rogic a go tonight, see how he gets on. He needs rhythm, I know a midfield with both Rogic and Turnbull in it really lacks legs but I think we should also be looking at how Turnbull does from deeper.

Any updates on what Christie will do?

Had put this in the wrong thread.

Starting XI

Hart

Turnbull McGregor

Abada Furuhashi Forrest

@Fulvio_From_Aughnacloy Yeah. Kyogo seems to have played centre forward quite a bit and apparently Ange likes players who can play anywhere in a front 3. Which would have suited Edouard a couple of years ago playing off the left but he’s not really playing well enough or at a high enough tempo to play in a dynamic front 3 at the moment.

It’s a big call.

It is. But Edouard’s performances have been getting progressively worse. In normal circumstances I’d be more worried about hold up play away from home in Europe but I guess that’s not as important in the system Ange wants to play.

At least we have some bench options now in Christie, Rogic and Edouard and Ajeti and a couple of centre back options too.

Yeah, we’ll see. It’s one of those calls that he’s either going to get lots of plaudits on or slaughtered over.

The front line should have energy anyway.

Ange must not rate Welsh.

It looks that way. I get the impression Welsh was too quiet for him when he played. Ange seemed to allude to the defence not being very vocal. Wouldn’t have thought Bitton would add much but I guess he is more experienced.

Yeah, I don’t think Welsh did too much wrong the first few games.

Thought Bitton would be thrown out after the way he let the team down so Ange must really think Welsh is not much use if he’s already back behind Bitton.

If we get a few more bodies in defence then it might be best for him to go out on loan. If Scales and/or another defender arrive then I’d be looking at loaning out Welsh and Urhoghide out.

Murray looks like he can plug a gap if we need to as well so we have bodies there, just need quality added.

Yeah no harm if one of them went out. Not sure what Hjelde’s story is. He’s with the B team at the moment. Not sure if that’s ability related or wanting to move related.

He’s a young kid, like Murray he has a lot of physical development to do. Hope we can keep hold though.

Oh dear. There’s no option to manually tune BBC TWO Scotland. Just BBC One Scotland and a generic BBC Scotland equivalent of RTE News Now. Disaster.

Check that News Now one. They may use that for local Scottish programmes

Yeeeesssssssssss. Got it! Thank you my friend.

Harston is some dinosaur in fairness.
