January 2016 Transfer Window

Juan Iturbe is set to join Watford on a loan with an £11 million option to buy

Looks like it’s Bournemouth.

El Shaarawy is on the move again. Monaco won’t be playing him again as it will cost them €14m to do so. Milan seem to be looking for a new buyer instead of just letting him sit out the season in Monaco. Why would they not just take him back @Nembo_Kid?

Too many attackers on the books at the minute, think Miha will be going for a 4-3-1-2 in the long run so he is surplus to requirements. Milan need defenders and midfielders in any case.

Informative.

Juve are apparently interested - not ideal for Milan to be letting him go there.

I’ll also take your thoughts on Pjanic to Real Madrid and Lavezzi to Inter rumours.

Lavezzi to Inter likely.

Doubt Pjanic will go in January but don’t think we’ll be keeping him beyond the summer.

Is pjanic that level?

Yes. I think so.

Who is this Elneny fella Arsenal are signing? Is he any good?

@mickee321

He’s a very good player but its just a ridiculous purchase for Real. Its a defensive midfielder they need not another no.10

Pjanic isn’t a 10, he’s far more effective in a deeper role.

Apologies always thought he was a 10, even more pointless then as they already have Modric and Kroos as their deeper midfielders

He’s a similar type of player to Modric but nowhere near as good in the defensive side of his game. His game would do well in Spain but I could see him pick up a mountain of yellow and red cards given the propensity for players to cheat and feign in Spain.

defensive midfielder with Basel
ok, i saw him and i remember him when Basel played Maccabi TA in the CL qualifiers back in august, , he was ok. a glen whelan type of player, the swiss league is poor tho and i would be suspect of the what 8 million euro they want for him… Basel like their Egyptian players, Mohammed Salah was there before moving to Chelsea, I think it was Hakan Yakin, remember him , he was a swiss/turk, think he managed Sparta Moscow, when he was coach at Basel before Paolo Sousa he used to scour North Africa for players
i would consider this a very risky signing, north african players are windy, think Salah, Nir Biton (he;s moroccan anyway), i wouldnt be bringing one in to act as a hard man on a wet night in stoke, etc

Pato is off to China. Not the most ambitious move for a 26-year-old. Thought he was supposed to be coming back to Europe this winter.

A lot of Liverpool fans seem to think klopp will be a game changer when it comes to signings but at the end of the day the modern footballer will follow the ££££ no matter what.

KPB to ACM.

I see that Pablo Osvaldo has had his contract rescinded at Porto. He seems to be a bit of a cunt

Steven Caulker is set to join Liverpool on loan

Southampton have signed Charlie Austin for €5M.

Surely signals thats Shane Long is on his way?
