I imagine the Italian minister was trying to impart the soldier/mercenary comparison but you knew that anyway.
In whatever mundane role you occupy currently let’s just say you were offered an obnoxious sum of money to work in another country let’s say Spain until June. …would you do it?..probably
We’re all mercenaries. Be it in an office , an army or chasing a football
Speak for yourself. I could easily get 25-30% extra by moving jobs but I choose not to for a variety of non monetary reasons.
Need we remind you of your lack of understanding of figures.
Lot of players struggle to make the step up from the Mickey Mouse Italian League to the big time in the EPL. Alvaro Morata another one to add to that list of Chelsea flops.
which Italians have been successful in England?
Zola, Ravanelli? struggling
Di Canio.
Di Matteo.
Vialli.
Cudicini.
Generally Italians don’t bother with the EPL if they are wanted back home.
Your opinions are based on emotion not fact. You thought half the Premiership could afford Ronaldinho 15 years ago. Even a financial illiterate would know thats gibberish.
Di Matteo was Swiss no?
Cudicini was a sub goalie
Busted flush once Cech arrived.
Oooft.
Lou Macari?
Tony Dorigo
Robert Miles
Swiss
Carbone.
Grew up in Friuli, Italy.
Toured around Yorkshire and got relegated a lot. Not having him
Peter Marinello
Ok so you will probably get 10k extra or so. ?
so probably not a good idea to up sticks then I’d say and that’s sensible.
I’m talking serious cash here tho and if you were towards the end of your earning power and were offered a massive whack, move in to a furnished gaff, schools taken care of, etc and all you needed to do was to drop in to the odd meeting. .you’d have to give it consideration.
We re all mercenaries pal if we are picking up a pay check. .any man who has convinced himself that his employers owe him something for his own perceived loyalty is thick…it’s a job. Some pay more than others and most of us move about to find the best one…
Loyalty to the job…good man Mike
