Always thought he was handy enough at Bolton farmer, didn’t see too much of him at chelsea and when I did he was playing left back, think he a moderate enough centre half, wouldn’t say he is outstanding but is an improvement on what they have already…
Remember Torres destroying him last season for the goal in Anfield against Chelsea and any time afterwards I saw him he never looked up to it for me.

He did Puke but I dont think he delivered a good ball once. Enrique was the same, great approach play but then hit the first defender almost every time. Really enjoyable game. Andy Reid was very good when introduced. Duff was booked for a pathetic dive. Looked lively though.

Villa are being linked with Micah Richards. He has huge potential but we dont need centre halves or right backs so dont think it is a runner.
What has happened to Micah Richards?
Last year he was hailed, and looked to be, one of the top defenders in the league and now he is being linked with a move to Villa?

Read somewhere that in preseason he went hard at the weights and ended up bulking up the wrong muscles and lost a bit of pace, also Richard Dunne’s form has been poor and I believe he made Richards look a better player that he is last season

Just shows how Villa are now perceived as one of the top ten sides in Europe being linked with a player of his stature

Richards wasn’t particularly good last season either. He showed definite promise when he first came onto the scene but doesn’t seem to be realising it.

Liverpool should be looking to get him in, would certainly be an improvement on what they have

Think he was booed at the weekend, I am sure it didn’t help him settle when the president said he thought he was shite and that mourinho shouldn’t have signed him(before he even played a game for inter)…Think Inter left him out of their squad for the knock-out stages of the Champions League so mustn’t be going great
