Make it a conversation, a chat almost. The old way of interviewing and being ready for all sorts of HR analyzed bullshit questions is gone, thank god. Trust is everything these days, if he oe she trusts and likes you as a person your in with a good shout.

Think of some good weaknesses. And some stories that illustrate your strengths, like the mixed tape one.
IT - Software Testing
Tell them your main weakness is that your awesomeness can sometimes make your work colleagues feel inadequate.
Cool, seems to be a fair few jobs in the area, am i right? Think there is a fair few qualified to do it as well though.
I suppose with jobs like that it gets quite technical, and is very much down to what you tested previously, what programmes you are comfortable with etc. So then if you tick those boxes its all about personality.
Google your interviewer, or talk to someone who may already work with him. Find out what heās into, try and use a story that may bring up a conversation with it, maybe sporting analogy or whatever. If you make it a chat and the actual job is half forgotten about, your on the pigs back.

I used to do interviews as well. When youād be looking at graduates Iād have to do 20 or 30 a day. Ask them whatever the fuck you want. Always be scribbling on a pad in front of you so they get the sense youāre judging them as well :lol: I thought they were great craic to be honest

Best answer for your weakness is that you tend to be extremely analytical, so while you tend to enjoy thinking through problems you can never be entirely satisfied with your solution. You feel that you can always make it better. Thereās a massive barnum effect there so theyāll start to think youāre just like them, which is always a good thing.
The last interview I did, I was asked how many baseballs would it take to fill an Olympic size swimming pool. I was told afterwards it was designed to completely catch me out and test my reactions to unexpected situations! All seemed a bit weird to me!
What was the answer?
I would have said 6.
They are actually stone useless when it comes to evaluating people though. Tons of research done on them and they all show they have little or no use when it comes to predicting performance. I remember asking a consultant once why companies keep using them if theyāre of no use and he replied āfor the same reason dogs like to sniff each other.ā Which is fair enough I suppose.
