Can you do nights from home? Iāve offered to be do a few very late evenings running into 1/2am. They are the grandest just to get out of the office & they think you are doing them a favour then

Is there any pushback from your manager Copper? If theyāre company-manin this it really depends on the wording on your employee handbook/contract.
It sounds like a chance to start sending out feelers anyways before approved headcounts are a free for all next month.
If you are on shift you should be getting a premium for all of the hours. Thatās a four cycle shift, though the evenings part I havenāt seen before. Lads/lassies on two days/two night/four days off and then repeat would get 33% shift allowance. Three cycle shift 25% and days and evenings 17.5%. Thatās what it was back in the day at least.
Have you a union at all?

Youd want 10% pay rise on basic, plus another annual bump in the new year based on performance nkt tied to the first. And then have a shift rate of at least 33%.

I was doing a job interview years ago. The interviewer asked me this question.
If I told you how to do a job, and you knew it to be the wrong solution, would you do it the way I told you or do it the correct way?
I told him that weād sit down and discuss the job first and come up with a compatible solution and get the job done once and right. However, he kept pressing me for a black and white answer. So in the end I told him that Iād go to his boss.
I didnāt get the job.

I was asked a similar question. Basically asking me would I hang him. Like every other question I lied and told him I wouldnāt. I was smirking inside until he asked me what motivated me in the workplace. The prick got me right between the eyes. Years later I still canāt answer it.

Iām doing a bit of documentation here now. The ābossā asked me to do it even though we donāt have all the information and some of the details we do have I know are incorrect. He said just do it and get it done, and we can correct it later. So thatās what reminded me.
Iām completely unmotivated.
