Out of the 30 something in our class in 76 all but 4 emigrated

Sure who’d want to stay in Cork in fairness?

I would say it’s more understandable to use the terms millennials or Generation Z or Generation FU or whatever you’re having yourself than it is to use the term ā€œboomerā€, first of all because the term ā€œmillennialsā€ refers to a specific time period common to everywhere (possibly except Ethopia, I’m not sure if they are still seven years behind). Also trends in western countries have homogenised quite a lot in recent decacdes and the world is more of a ā€œglobal villageā€ (I hate that term but I’m using it anyway) than in the 1950s.

To me the term ā€œboomerā€ has basically no meaning in an Irish context.

It was actually 2012 when this payment was stopped for new entrants, for existing leaches the payment was just absorbed into a different name.

@flattythehurdler are you a permanent resident in Barna or Bibsdury (sic) these days? Or some in between PJ style tax whizz via another abode in Switzerland or somewhere? Apologies if you don’t wish to answer this invasive question or if you’ve already expanded on it in other threads or in PMs…it’s awfully difficult to keep across everything. Basically what I’m saying is…I’ll take your wonderful western palace for a week in the autumn for air bnb at mate’s rates, if available. You’ll need to sign a waiver in advance for any property damage though.

Best in what categories?

The most accurate barometer of where a country is at is by its health and housing.

Ireland is all fur knickers and no coat…. A few multinationals pull out and we won’t even have the fur knickers.

At least you lads had the IRA to look up to as heroes. We have Paul Murphy and Mattie McGrath

Not an ā€œentitlementā€ but a discretionary* gift.

Do the public servants still get the holy days off?

I think the poor craturs only get the same public holidays as the rest of us these days.

PM sent.

I personally think fur coat no knickers is a great job.
