Joe Canning, Unquestionably the GOAT

His performance was outstanding today. His work rate was as high as I’ve ever seen it, but it looked like he was provoked, certainly he was playing with more ire and desperation than usual.
FWIW, I thought it was a great game between two excellent sides, and even though I was fit to burst at what I perceived as some outrageously one sided refereeing, at the end of the day, clare were the equal of galway at least, and it was only the wides that killed them. I have the greatest of respect for you as a hurling poster, and I’m sorry ye had to lose that, though delighted we won.

The only decent thing I ever saw him do was stick a point over from the sideline in the end against kk in Tullamore about 3 or so years ago. Then the Sheflin bitch recipricatated in no time down the far end. He’s just another hurler, nothing special about this guy at all. Scumbag media blowing this guy up completely disproportionately.

It has been a mad championship with so many matches decided by a puck of the ball.

Dublin v Kilkenny
Wexford v Dublin.
Kilkenny v Wexford.
Galway v Kilkenny (draw)
Cork v Limerick (draw)
Cork v Tipp (draw)
Waterford v Tipp (draw)
Limerick v Kilkenny
Limerick v Cork (Croke Park draw)
Galway v Clare (draw & one point win in the replay)

A few other games only decided by a team pulling away late on like Limerick v Tipp and Cork v Clare (both days).

Fine margins…

But only one team left unbeaten.

You don’t actually think ye’re going to beat Limerick do you?

Of course not.

As you were.

Went to the match yesterday and got lunch in Quigleys in the Thurles shopping centre. There was Paudie Maher drinking a cappuccino on his own!

Joe is Mr Hurling.

Who else would have been in Tom Semples field during the week practicing his line balls?
Hard work pays off.

I honestly don’t know if you’re taking the piss? Beacuse I probably wouldn’t put it past him.

These lads think joe just shows up with his gear and off he goes, you don’t get to be the best hurler in Ireland without a bit of hard graft.

He will look for a big cheque before he goes off anywhere.

Do you begrudge everyone earning a few quid in their spare time or is it just Joe?

I think it’s wrong to demand sizable money from voluntary, community organisations to appear there.
