Not many of them in GAA

An amateur sports man is not an elite athlete - Mind blowing stuff.
He’s a below average athlete by the standards of inter-county GAA.
Sort of a Frank McGuigan type, except in hurling.
Some counties carry players like it for skill sets other than athleticism, mate - Bubbles for Tipp, Dowling for Limerick etc.
Which game are you on about? Haven’t the time to read all the way back? Is it the 2012 drawn final? Shefflin scored 0-1 from play in that game.
Yes, obviously.
Shefflin was a great man against the likes of Wexford and Waterford
So? Did you see Jordan’s quote? By your standards Michael Jordan is a bottler. That is obviously a load of shit. You are talking a load of shit.
And, sigh, I’ll repeat this for you for the last time. Slowly now: in his early to mid 20s, Callanan was nowhere near the level he is at now. TJ Reid too for that matter. Neither were even regular starters on their respective teams.
As a true great. He’s played in 4 all Irelands and won none.
What are the 4 All Ireland finals he’s played in?
3 sorry. Always forget he was playing minor in 05 that was my first time seeing him in the flesh.
That’s an unfair stat to throw at him. They probably wouldn’t have got to any final without him. They wouldn’t have drawn the one they did without him.
You’ve taken a total dumb view on jordans quote. He won 5 or 6 NBA titles, Never lost in a final series, holds the record for seasons as top points scorer and so many game winning scores he’s obviously not a bottler. It’s a Hollywood quote that’s problem written in the nap dressing room.
It’s tough but when judging true greatness you have to be incredibly tough.
You’ve just completely undermined your whole argument with your nap reference. NaP are widely agreed to be the best hurling club in the universe right now.
wrong login to display such knowledge of Kilkenny hurling.
Tommy was a superb underage and colleges hurler, going back to old days from late 80s/early90s in WRTC now.
What did happen him afterwards?
It’s a 15 man team. He was playing against one of the greatest defenders and made shit of him for a while in 2012. Kilkenny kept a closer eye in the 2nd half which should have meant that others got more space. I have questioned why Canning wasn’t more involved but I was comparing him to Shefflin, who is the best I’ve seen. Is it his fault the lads he was with aren’t up to it? A snooker comparison would be Ronnie and Hendry. One was more talented, the other was the greatest.
That’s the one mate
And Clare Gerry Quinn…ken put manners on that scamp
