John Delaney/ tugging off half the forum
Dela is the man now, one step closer to beer in brazil 2014. His masterful handling of Denis O’Brien has made all this possible.

Proud to know him
i used to think you were an arsehole but you are my favourite poster here these days

don’t worry about it, I still think you are a multiple arsehole. One for each alias.

sort of. He had a good few years.

indeed, he was in mine one year,

Mr Delaney now extending his administrative skills to stars from other sports!

Prime time getting to the heart of the matter here

I just switched on as it ended. What was the report about?

A whole load of nothing.

Exactly what the FAI raised from advance ticket sales. A whole load of nothing.

They scaremongered for a while and then, as an afterthought, mentioned the impending €40m coming in from the TV Rights deal expertly negotiated by Mr Delaney. It was an utterly ridiculous piece, even lowering themselves to use Daily Mail “journalists” for soundbites.

Which one was the Daily Mail journalist Bandage?

The wonderfully named Ruud Dokter has been appointed as FAI High Performance Director.

He’s only gone and done it again. A summer friendly in New York against the world champions. This will be a significant earner for the flourishing FAI.

time after time he does it for us

He truly is a king amongst men:clap:

Wouldn’t be surprised if some big American Multinational try and head hunt him over there and offer him 4 times his current salary

Too right, Puke. There’s a major danger that if the MLB franchise owners see this guy in action, they’ll have solved the Bud Selig succession crisis

John clearly putting the family first and ahead of an afternoon on the couch watching proceedings at Old Trafford. Spotted him there earlier in the bouncy castle in Kidzone jumping around with the kids.

Disgraceful that Utd did not see fit to invite one of their most influential fans along today to take part.

I understand that Mr John Delaney was a guest of the English FA at last Saturday’s Champions League final. Such was the positive exchange of ideas and general discourse over the course of the evening’s festivities, Mr Delaney decided against returning to Ireland on Sunday and instead took up the FA on their kind invite to remain in England for an extra day or two to attend the English Football League Play-Off final on Monday afternoon. Don’t mistake this as an extended social occasion - a lot of important information was gleaned with regard to various initiatives such as maximising sponsorship revenue, stadium/event management (a key focus on concerts to add to non-sport revenue), grassroots football growth programmes and so on. I can’t confirm if Mr Delaney returned to Ireland between Monday’s game and last night’s encounter or enjoyed an even further extended stay but the links forged between the two associations have very positive connotations for this fixture becoming a regular one on the international calendar. Well done to Mr Delaney for securing the game to begin with and looking to develop its potential even further.
