Surely Sallins is the Venice of Ireland? Canals, flooding, even the train robbery gives it that historical flavour of The Italian Job. A short train ride leaves you close to the Rialto Bridge.

I was not corrected. The facts are that Niall Quinn did a great job at Sunderland and they fell apart when he left
Niall Quinn and the Drumaville consortium sold Sunderland to Ellis Short and he was gone 6 months later with his profit. Sunderland were in 9th position in the EPL and the quarter final of an FA cup.
Martin OâNeill was manager, heâs to blame.
Sunderland steadily became a shambles once Quinn left. He made the Keane appointment when they were bottom of the championship which resulted in them getting promoted and staying there comfortably for the rest of Quinnâs time. When Quinn left they still spent money but were making bad managerial appointments and were suddenly battling relegation every year. They also knowingly played a paedophile in this time
The Keane appointment put them in financial ruin.
