Delighted for Kiely and his team of lads. Although as I watched yesterday I noticed a few souptakers on the sideline. Par for the course in every county I suppose.

There is a tradition of holding on to your principles at any cost but sadly the Irish will sell a testicle to get one up on the neighbours and so will take the soup, abandoning whatever principles they may have.
In the case of many on the sideline of Limerick GAA, they are there waiting for the crumbs to fall from the martinstown table while not necessarily doing things in the best interests of the organisation as a whole. Limerick is full of the cunts but it seems that John Kiely is one of a few honourable men amongst charlatans. He may have ‘won fuck all yet’, but he has engendered a faith in Limerick hurling that would never have happened without him. Well done John.

I never said he did and I realise the shortcomings of our argument. However, no-one can deny that Limerick is in a much better place from Kiely’s presence and I hope he is allowed to do his job without interference.
