I suppose he was ranting about the injustice of Condon’s sending off today.
He was clearly enjoying the attention yesterday. You could almost here “we go again, like”
“I stood on the Hogan Stand on the steps that day when we were beaten very comprehensively by a phenomenal Tipperary team on the day,” the Limerick Leader reported Kiely as saying. “For some strange reason I turned around at the top of the steps and looked out over the pitch and I said to myself, ‘I am going to do something to try and make sure this doesn’t happen again’.
Delighted for Kiely and his team of lads. Although as I watched yesterday I noticed a few souptakers on the sideline. Par for the course in every county I suppose.
Noted also is the change of thread title.
Kiely is supposed to be a decent sort from what I’ve heard. Fair fucks to him
In fairness it’s great to see PJs money finally paying a dividend.
The longest of long term investments. He’d better keep his beak out of it in the next three weeks though.
souptakers?
Suits man, nice suits and shoes for the offesshals
Indeed. A derogatory tern originally used to describe Catholics during the famine when they would convert to protestantism in order to get soup, food, to keep themselves. There is a tradition of holding on to your principles at any cost but sadly the Irish will sell a testicle to get one up on the neighbours and so will take the soup, abandoning whatever principles they may have.
In the case of many on the sideline of Limerick GAA, they are there waiting for the crumbs to fall from the martinstown table while not necessarily doing things in the best interests of the organisation as a whole. Limerick is full of the cunts but it seems that John Kiely is one of a few honourable men amongst charlatans. He may have ‘won fuck all yet’, but he has engendered a faith in Limerick hurling that would never have happened without him. Well done John.
Yeah. But he won fuck all.
Incorrect thread title.
He led us to Munster League title glory in January.
Dooley is right , beating cork doesn’t change that Dooley witnessed
Every limerick man will be praying Galway win tomorrow
None of them will fancy playing The Banner in Croke Park
What part of Clare are you from kid?
I never said he did and I realise the shortcomings of our argument. However, no-one can deny that Limerick is in a much better place from Kiely’s presence and I hope he is allowed to do his job without interference.
Are you being serious here, mate?
Explain yourself.
