Jonathan Sexton Concussion Watch

So they forfeited the game because they knew they’d lose and now will try to get sympathy and a rematch with their strongest team available again. Despicable behaviour

If that’s what you want to take from my response go right ahead. No skin off my nose. But I won’t attempt to give you a genuine answer to what I assumed was a genuine question again

Ah yeah I know games in different sports get abandoned when there is a bad leg break or whatever.

Without knowing the detail, what you described sounded like worrying head injuries above the norm of what you’d normally hear about. You can’t blame parents for being paranoid these day after that Ben Robinson story. I know I would be.

Nothing to worry about here. Only the three young fellas carted off to the funny farm in the first ten minutes.

I didn’t describe anything in fact I made no mention of concussion whatsoever in relation to these lads. I have no idea what their injuries were and not speculating about it.

By all means parents should be concerned about the injury risk involved in amy sport their kids want to play. I’m not forcing anyone to let their kids play rugby. Nobody is. You asked me a question and I gave you an honest answer

Before you rule it outo for kids though you should go and see mini rugby training and some underage games and make a decision then. Watching professionals play on tv and deciding it’s dangerous for kids is silly. Different sports.

I actually think Schools rugby at senior cup level is about the most dangerous. Because they try to play a pro game with underdeveloped skills and physiques. Club underage completely different.

Disgusting comments

Very poor attempt at deflection.

No deflection you withered old prick. I brought the case to the boards attention in the first place

I hope the same fate never befalls your “nephew”

Fair comments as ever Dan.

p.s. was not suggesting you were forcing anybody to get their kids to play. Just interested in your opinion.

time for Zappone to step up to the plate and to ban this sport and start arresting parents

You did saying how great it was that the Munchins crowd were so concerned for their players welfare. You didn’t tell the board that the scene must have resembled the Battle of Rorkes Drift with the Munchins boys shell shocked and terrified to go out in case they’d be the next ones incapacitated.

I would say this has rebounded quite nastily on you.

Why did the munster branch tell them to play on after an hour standing around in the cold

it was the children that refused to play

shameful stuff

They’re setting a dangerous precedent here if they award a replay

There’d be a nice bit of mileage in it for her

Were these three separate incidents or was there a 2-for-1 jobby, like a clash of heads?

3 head injuries in seperate incidents would sound like a team of lads who haven’t a notion how to tackle properly.

2 of the munchins lads clashed heads with each other. Don’t know about other lad but was separate incident

Surely it’s just a matter of time before the rules of this sport MUST be changed. Think of the kids
