We need the old Mitre Multiplex back .
I loved Mitreās penchant for naming footballs after cinemas.
What is the difference between an Omniplex and a Multiplex (cinemas not footballs) ??
Sigh
The only acceptable match ball for years where I played, more akin to a modern day O Neills than a current soccer ball, it could give you a sting if it was coming at you from high enough or fast enough but Iād say the Jeff Astles and Co were heading a much heavier ball, either way I wouldnāt be surprised if it was clashes of heads rather than the ball that did the damage.
More from the world of sports injuries. When will the GAA change their rules to protect players. Doctors not even at games? Dear me.
Thugby spin.
I hope the omerta doesnāt close in on the gaa issue like it didid with the worrying problems uncovered with heading a football.
A neutral observer here might think fellas were not really worried about player welfare in rugby at all. That there was another agenda
Iāll have you know that this thread is about Jonnys soft head
I get that impression reading your posts, mate.
Sweep sweep mate.
Iām concerned about player welfare across all sports.
Paddy Jackson on being told he wasnāt starting
āHe took the news with a smile and said āIāll be ready, when needed, off the benchā.ā
When, not if. A little smile to himself too, Paddy knows
gaa simpletons think nothing of having a young lad playing 7 games in 3 days, thats what you are dealing with here
Youād have to question the value of parents paying fees to educate little Sneachta and Uachtair Reoite when they invariably leave school in a vegetative state from all the head collisions playing rugby. You only need listen to the likes of Cian Healy and Rob Kearney try to form coherent sentences as evidence. Heaven knows what they would have done if they didnāt have professional rugby as a career.
Bump
ā¦ on the head.
bump is right
Have the IRFU set up a Veggie Sexton fund to cover his care costs for later life?
