John Sexton is one of the hardiest oul bastards to ever pull on an Irish Jersey in any sport ever. He wouldn’t throw his toys out of the pram cos he didn’t like the pitch in Saipan. He’s given all he has and more to Irish rubby, so, like it or not, he is utterly admirable.
I do have concerns for him, but he’s a man worthy of respect in everything he says and does.
Thats about it.

Apparently Johnny is referred to as ‘The Woodpecker’ in French rugby circles due to the number of bangs to the head he has suffered. At this stage there is probably little point him retiring to protect himself, whatever will be will be.

As a former patient of his there are two possibilities

He has breached doctor patient confidentiality in a very public manner for God knows what reason
He is lying at worse and speculating at best about the health of a former patient in public…

Absolutely bizarre behaviour from a doctor. Whether he is right or wrong is a completely different point and IMO no way should Sexton play this weekend… He is 36 and needs to be managed with kid gloves now.
