Jonathan Sexton Concussion Watch

Sexton could play next week acc to the coach.

Duty of care went out the window a long time ago

Eddie Jones tried to warn the IRFU about this but they were having none of it.

He’s alright lads, fierce lucky, seems it wasn’t a concussion after all

Johnny Sexton looks set to play in Ireland’s second Test against New Zealand this Saturday, having returned to full training with the squad in Albany.

The IRFU will hopefully get taken to the cleaners over this.

He failed the HIA, didn’t he?

He is one tough tough man. I genuinely have concerns about him in the long term.

He is and you should. Oddly enough those close to him don’t seem to.

Mace have tried to sound the alarm by portraying Jonny Sexton in a lobotomised state.

Tragically, nobody is listening.

The man will be cross eyed in a few years time.

His family will be taking the IRFU to court in 10 years.

Would the fact Johnny actually picks the team himself weaken his case or is it a duty of care matter on the part of the IRFU?

There is an AFL player who got a serious head injury and has subsequently retired as a result. Ends with the lowest games career in the AFL having won and played in a grand final

News in the past couple of days were if he was diagnosed properly and given the right treatment, his health would be in a better position right now

When you read what was done, and not done, its crazy that in the modern era of head injuries that players are advised to do nothing. If nothing else, at least Venebles knew to retire for his own good.

Disgrace he is playing this weekend. Regardless of how bad or not the head knock is it was a perfect reason to try someone else

My favourite Irish player ever but its mad Gatland was concerned enough about this not to pick him for Lions when he was still, when right, a notch above Biggar and Finn.

Saw Matt Williams calling for a big one from Carberry when he gets on this weekend, great goalkicker but it was hard not to disagree, he is back long enough now and he hasn’t looked the same player.

Gibson Park is an innocent in all of this as he is playing really well, but I wouldn’t mind seeing a kicking 9/controlling 9 like Doak or Cooney and then that would really free Ireland up to play a running 10. If Carty got it back what about him at 10? Ringrose has the hands for it. Do this in the autumn tests because theres a need to look at everything now. Can’t go back to Billy Burns. Carberry’s defence is a massive issue. Doak, Ringrose, Aki, Henshaw would keep us in games well I suspect.

Just seems at the moment that the game plan falls apart without Johnny. Paddy Jackson acting like a dirty thing left some career behind him the stupid fucker.

Mack Hansen at 15, Keenan at 10 - with Doak…this is the kind of stuff the Aussies do really well, outside the box stuff.

I sincerely doubt it was concern

Agreed. I don’t think he’s a 10 at all

He was scandalous last week. His worst performance in Ireland jersey IMO whatever was wrong with him…
