it all started with david blunkett saying that he hadnt seen the brass eye christmas special (paedogeddon) but being horrified by it.
Youâre rightly worked up and trying to cover your tracks but weâve all seen your nasty delight here at anotherâs suffering⌠Youâre some man to over exaggerate when speaking down to someone. Youâve me lepping in with both feet now ⌠On a discussion board .
You and tank and one or two other lads, but I still want to see your pup
Can you admit that you were wrong to correct me in my observation that the situation that arose is ironic?
Can you admit that you couldnât possible define what âstandard psychologyâ is, let alone quantify that 99.9% of what Peterson says qualifies as such?
Your stance is fine. Your delight is wrong.
I didnât put anybody down.
Have you done that thing where you read one part of a post and just decide that someone has said something, youâre a whure for that
No delight pal. Youâre wrong there again.
I am. Iâm working on it though
Obviously anyone who believes they are born in the wrong body is mentally unwell. I would have thought that was a given. If i recall correctly Peterson stated he was happy to go along with this magical thinking on an individual level but was opposed to governments enforcing speech codes (with punishment for those that fail to follow them) to validate these delusions. Because of this perfectly rational position he was catapulted in to the limelight and became a hero for some the devil incarnate for others.
Is there any such thing as transsexualism?
Some of us have to work bud. Cant spend the entire day on here.
if it takes 30 minutes to type out a sentence or two Iâm not surprised
of course there is.
is it as prevalent as is suggested, no its not
Yes. Its a mental disorder.
I put it to a mate of mine who is a clinical psychologist about Peterson and his response was⌠That his general work on psychology is standard enough fareâŚ
Sure, within that field there will be plenty of academic argument about the virtues of X, y, z, like there is in any field. But his overall work was based within the boundaries of standard psychology⌠Thereâs other stuff that he puts forward like speaking the truth, being kind to animals and the environment⌠this isnât exactly psychology, but common decency.
His work also touches on spiritualism, which isnât again exactly scientific but he does draw it back to Freudian/Jungian psychoanalysis to give it a psychology framework⌠He does this by exploring myths like the Bible and other standard themes to explain human behaviour and how weâve captured our understanding of these behaviours in common themes and stories we sustained over centuries.
Itâs all very standard stuff.
His other more contentious points are his own personal beliefs that you agree with it or donât.
so what youre saying is that hes a fraud who likes youngwans
