Agreed but they are getting revenue for the health system from the people most likely to cost the health system
Lets educate them then. Use the tax money to help people lead healthier lives. Doing nothing obviously isnāt working. We are just getting fatter and fatter.
Ya absolutely but is that realistic? Use the tax revenue to build facilities for people to exercise if thats what we need.
Are we still talking about sugar?
Thatās a different issue. Excercise & diet are obviously both important. This is a diet conversation.
Iām not blaming sugar for everything. I clearly said that in my post.
Did she say eat a load of sugar? No? Absolutely enjoy things in moderation, but if you are one of these people drinking a can of coke+ a day and you give it up itāll have huge immediate benefits. Itās an easy change to make. Being more conscious of your sugar consumption doesnāt mean not consuming sugar.
You who are not a nutritionist, and have admitted the same, (saying you tell your clients you are not a nutritionist), yet still giving people nutritional advice over ruling actual nutritionists, is exactly why people regard your field as quackery.
What? There is no nutrional advice there? I tell them to ignore tv shows spouting nonsense.
Fucking hell. Stop making stuff up.
And diet and exercise and work and everything is all interlinked. And this is the problem. People want everything put in little boxes. The reason someone drinks cans of coke is to feel good from being fatigued from work. Its amazing how people cannot grasp this. We are all one organism. Our brain is the control tower. Starting turning off the lights (in most cases thru stress and/or fatigue) and everything goes to shit.
You have cery clearly shown a complete ignorance to the issue.
No. I am telling them to ignore fitness people, 15 min Joe, diets, fads, fitness celebs, operation transformations and all this other rubbish which rarely if ever has actual clinical dieticians involved.
I drink a can of coke most days. Iām about to have one now after a little nap. What immediate health benefits would I get from giving it up?
Genuine question.
Youād lose weight anyway for a start, but you sound like you live a fairly active lifestyle so maybe not as much as someone who doesnāt.
Iāll tell you what will definitely happen though, if you give it up for a few weeks and you go back and drink a can youāll nearly get sick as to how sweet tasting it is and wonder how could you ever drink it in the first place.
Horseshit Kev. Those operation transformation people are all about long term lifestyle changes and choices. And getting exercise all the time. Sure they have whole towns out walking to help their fattest inhabitants. They organise giant fun runs. And they use people with actual medical/dietary qualifications.
It seems in your hurry to shit on these people you have neglected to ever watch them to appraise them.
