You grew up in a different era. I can assure you kids now are nowhere near physically prepared for life as we are.
Between lack of random play and Nature defecit disorder they are actually having shit lives compared to us, although they donât realise it.
6-9 and 13-16 are the critical physical development ages. So for atguments sake a well developed 9 year old who had plenty ourdoor play, plenty structure qualified coaching with plenty FMS etc would probably be able to play u12 and its not as much a jump and wonât be too detrimental to his skill development. Arguably that is, and he would want to be a kid of some substance. However the 13 playing u16 is a whole lot dicier. Playing u20 is obviously nuts.
Thats not to mention the mental effects it can have, even if nothing happens the kid. It can be so so easy to lose confidence when he is not up to it.
Fellas trying to justify this because they follow Celtic shows a real low grade of common intelligence.
It also shows Celtic do not have good coaches at the top of the tree in youth football to let this happen.
Its more abuse connected to Celtic. I am ashamed to have followed the club and spent my money going over there.
Answer my question does that look like a fella that should be playing u20âs?
And to answer your question, lets take Wayne Rooney as an example at 16 in the PLâŚhe was physically ableâŚdo you understand the difference between 13 and 16 years of age?
Exactly.[quote=âcaoimhaoin, post:109, topic:23164, full:trueâ]
Chalk and cheese. Its arguably the biggest change in your life after that initial 3 years

So should we call that a backtrack or an admittance that you lied it does not still happen.
The only reason Bogball, smugby and bog hockey have banned them is because they are thuggish sports which require limited skill. Football is unique as it does not discriminate on size and power but promotes skill and intelligence. Itâs a game of natural talent.
Milan had a 16 year old keeper in between the sticks all last season.
That Odergaard lad Madrid signed has been playing top flight football since 15.
Reece Oxford made his debut for West Ham at 15.
There are countless examples of it, Celtic had another lad score a goal in their closing league game just after turning 16, he was the guy Karamoko replaced the other night.
