I would think that is fair comment
They went in to that game as reigning League, Munster, All Ireland and ‘World’ Champions.
My point stands
One question of Cody which there isn’t really an answer to is would those lads trying to break into the team be better under a different manager?
Richie Leahy was a brilliant underage player, is he just not strong enough to be a brilliant senior or would he be better with different guidance? Richie Reid is a great club player, that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s good enough for inter county (see Shane Cooney who’s a brilliant club hurler but struggled for Galway) but would he be better under different guidance?
Comparing the KK teams of 2009 and 2020. Only TJ and Eoin Murphy would make a combined team.
That is fair comment . At best 3 of the current Cork team would make the 2004 - 2006 team .
Horgan + x2?
If you compare some the the current Kk team they are well short of Waterford in S&C let alone Lk .
Codys time at the helm is coming to an end. Another year maybe. For all that went before I hope it’s all done with the dignity merited
Coleman
Over Gardiner I presume.
Darragh Fitzgibbon and Coleman at a push and the counter argument would be strong I accept
I like Fitzgibbon but Kenny and O’ Connor were a great partnership.
Harnedy for one of the McCarthys?
Are you going to Cheltenham this year? Looks like you could do with the break.
He’s a better hurler than Sean Òg as well.
One for the kk lads. Any chance Cody would manage another county if he was stood down?
I’d love to see him over Wexford when Davy moves on.
He is indeed. That Cork HBL had great balance to it though. Coleman trying to do the work of three men in the current team.
Galway Galway Galway
