Has Cody lost the dressing room?

Not the case. Flannans is no longer the hurling institution it once was. Big shift away from it since boarding stopped over a decade ago. Flannans team these days is made up exclusively of players from the clubs from and close to Ennis.

Tulla CBS is emerging as a very strong hurling school off the back of this.

All those All Ireland Colleges St. Kieran’s won in the last 10 years have given Kilkenny hurling a desperate return really.

Seems to be win at all costs and they play the big, strong awkward lads suited to winter hurling.

Are Tulla B? Are Caimins any use? They’ve some pick

No, lost to Flannans in the Harty quarter finals last year. A in most age groups these days

Flanans went on to lose the final didn’t they? They still had a good load of minors this year

Won it. Beat CBC in the final

Kk is a small enough county with the city near on bang in the middle. As well as SKC , Kilkenny CBS have been very competitive over last decade . These 2 schools have some quarry with a 15 mile radius .

Also there are always a decent sprinkling of Kk players in DLS Waterford & New Ross teams . Indeed there might be the odd lad with Thurles CBS .

Kk have convincingly beaten Lk at minor in 2018 & 2019.

They will be fine

Are they picking lads to win minor matches or to win senior matches down the road?

How many had they on the minor panel?

Would Tulla CBS take in the bridge? @Big_Dan_Campbell

One thing to note with colleges hurling and county minor teams is that most do the leaving at 18 and some at age 19 even . County minor is u17

Minor/20s then. On a county panel

I think most just pick their best teams . That is the fairest

Apologies… I now believe no such quotations exist, that my man got his wires crossed.

But at least I have learned something interesting about Clare schools hurling.

Thanks again.

They may well have beaten Limerick at under 17 in 2018 and 2019, but my God, their under 20’s looked hopeless altogether a few weeks ago.

Minor being under 17 and Harty being under 19 would mean that you might not have a huge cross over. Tulla had a few on the Clare under 20s panel this year.

Sixmilebridge lads would mainly go to Shannon or Limerick for schooling I’d wager. Sixmilebridge is a soccer town these days when it comes to youngsters.

Tulla would be tulla, the mills, Feakle, broadford and then a few from Clooney, Bodyke etc

They looked very ill prepared tbh . They seem to be having problems at that grade . Maybe having big numbers away in college ???

Since the change in age for minor and u20s that means fuck all these days, particularly at u 20 level.

We had a load from Parteen in Sextons but only one ever from the Bridge, Christian Meehan. A gas case.

It means little and even when 18 that was the case . How many have Galway won in last 20 years
