The Welfed Ned had it removed from YouTube in one of his 1st official duties.
@binkybarnes has described it succinctly there, lyrically even. If I could award 2 likes I would have.

What the fuck was Skehan at for the first goal??

The head high tackle on Billy Fitz at 0:26 :astonished:

The wonder of it was that Damian Martin didn’t decapitate the umpire.

Skehan was prone to an odd brainfart.

The casual violence in those days was priceless. The ref putting on a cross face and wagging his finger at some lad after committing GBH

The gas thing is that back then lads were saying hurling is gone soft

I was at Waterford v Kilkenny in Walsh Park in the league in 1984. Pat McGrath (Ken’s Dad) was full forward and Skehan was in the goal for Kilkenny. There was a big crowd in for it because Kilkenny were All Ireland champions although Waterford were brutal and at the start of their spiral into the division 3.

Anyway Pat Mc took a shot and it hit Skehan in the arse and bounced to safety. A Kilkenny fella beside me roared in “You should have tried his mouth - it would have fit there”.

It was well wide

I suspected that but we’ve established a few things in the last 30 posts.

Joe Hennessy is very highly regarded by Kilkenny folk.
Noel Skehan is not so highly regarded by anybody.
Many of today’s prima donnas would struggle 40 years ago.
