Very strange carry on, what does it say to these lads that he’d rather stick on one of the players who’d already been hauled off and probably seizing up at this stage
Beggars belief tbh. I hadn’t realised. I can’t imagine how hard it must be to go back on into a cauldron like that after you’ve given your all and been substituted. You wouldn’t be next nor near the Wexford senior panel if you weren’t well able to hurl.
I really like Cody these days. There’s no fucking about, no excuses, no Shure lookits, he goes to win, and expects. He’s as honest a manager as you’ll ever see.
He resembles my oul fella also.
Now I’m off to stick my fingers down my throat.
I should. The other thing is, he looks more relaxed these days, like he’s really enjoying it. The interview before the game he radiated excitement at the challenge and the occasion. That transmits to the players.
I missed that interview but that’s one of his greatest skills, lads really want to run through a brick wall for him. He was blessed with some of the most talented players of all time but he also managed to push players past what others would’ve considered their limits eg. Jackie Tyrell, Brian Hogan, Conor Fogarty, Eoin Larkin, Eddie Brennan, Martin Comerford etc.
Agreed. These days, it’s like the anger and needle has gone from him, like his counterpart SAF.
The fact he’s excited about the game, not anxious, and it’s clear there’s nowhere he’d rather be, is a great vibe for a manager to be giving.
There’s also no bollox talk. He’s there to win, and expects a performance.
He gave a nice interview after a league game they lost, where he came out straight, and said we were here to win and 100% wanted to. No shadows.
