I’d say there aren’t too many other players as decorated in either code at club level, perhaps the Cross lads in terms of county, provincial and AI’s
Do not infer anything of the sort. I merely meant what I said: I do not consider that topic a suitable one for public discussion. Unless you are odd, you will surely understand why without getting into silly speculation.
Johnny McGovern of Bennettsbridge has the most Senior medals, 11, between 1952 and 1971.
Kevin Fennelly of (Ballyhale) Shamrocks got nine with his native club between 1978 and 1991. He then got another one with Young Irelands in 1996 as an unused sub/third goalkeeper. So KF, technically, has ten Senior medals.
Colin Fennelly, Eoin Reid and TJ Reid are all attempting today to win a tenth Senior medal. CF was an unused sub in 2006. TJR was injured in 2012. So ER, if hopefully we win today, would be the only player to start in all ten finals.
What the Puck did at club level is like saying Skehan has 9 AI medals. He has but really he only has 6. At least Shefflin came on for his tenth medal
Plenty of physicality early doors from OLG here
Some dubious full-backing from the Shamrocks of Ballyhale so far
To be expected. Decent game so far.
Both teams working very hard, TJ getting plenty of attention. I thought it was going to be one of those days when I saw Fennelly bearing down on goal at the very start
Very enjoyable fare so far.
Some of the O’Loughlin scores have been fantastic.
Think the referee made a mistake there. Shamrocks lad lucky not to get a red card there
He has rode OLG bareback.
Only half watching, is it not tame enough. A lot of space in the middle third
That thought crossed my mind.
I know Shamrocks will probably only get going in the next quarter but we are still in it!!!
Conor Heary having a great game
Proper intensity out there, tis mighty stuff.
O’Loughlins fearless in their approach - going man to man where a lot of teams wouldn’t against Ballyhale.
O’Loughlins lost the run of themselves there.
Great game.
Deegan with a goal to level
Still in it…
