He was a great player, certainly not in the conversations for the best ever KK player, he’d struggle to be justifiably named on a best ever KK fifteen. Not to mind “one of the best ever”

You just don’t get it. I suppose Limerick people think hurling was only invented in 2018.
Richie has an aura about him. A Kilkenny match that he’s playing in feels that bit more of an occasion than when Cody sends out some of those nobodies that can currently constitute a Kilkenny forward line.
In fairness he was a great man to do a cameo where he’d drop into a pocket of space left by a deep lying centre back and he could knock over 4 or 5 points before the defect was cured.

He didn’t have a fraction of the aura of King Henry or DJ
Hogan is better than Billy Fitz and Richie Power. Power was excellent but was dogged by injuries. Hogan won a HOTY and always had the X Factor.
