Carter was class and was real old school. But he fell out with Cody and that as they say was that.
He was something else.
Is that number 5? Oh that’s 4
Whatever became of his brother Paddy? He was a flaking prospect as well but never really got a fair shake of it at senior given the depth Kilkenny had at half back. Does he still play at club level?
He had a few injuries but was also not fully committed to it. I’ve an idea he was Danesfort manager last year.
Still plays yes but wasn’t up to county standard at the time. But he’s a couple of years older than Richie so would have been up against it on the half back line / midfield area. Lovely hurler.
He was centre back on the Kierans team in 2005 iirc - would make him 34 going on 35. A fine stylish hurler and had a good bit more size than Richie. He would walk into the six jersey for Kilkenny these days if he was ten years younger I’d say
This has been a grand discussion I’ve facilitated here this evening.
His body basically gave up on him after a brilliant underage career.
He was the definition of the better brother.
That’s becoming quite a little tradition of yours recently.
modern great
Just read an interview there with Dean Mason, didn’t realise he was only 20. That’s some going for a goalkeeper! Surely next Kk keeper after Scruff finishes up?
Heard Mullen was dropped from the DCU panel.
He’s 22 this year.
I have a vague memory of him being a bit dodgy in a All Ireland Minor Semi Final in 2017 but he’s been fantastic for Ballyhale.
Good and all as they are, they’ve still needed him to make a few important saves over the years.
I’m after hearing a rumour of a tragic passing in KK GAA circles this evening I hope it’s not true
I think it is
Four young kids. RIP.
Alas, it is all too true.
Just a brutal turn of events.
RIP. Paul was an absolute gent.
