Kilkenny GAA thread

Thomastown are flying solo by all accounts. Decimated by injuries and wannabe yanks.
First match Saturday.

Hmmmm interesting.

Are John Powers lads any good?

At what?

saw them play our club in leinster club, the apple didnt fall far from the tree anyway. never shut up all game long mouthing and roaring abuse at the ref and anyone who dared go near them, whether opposition or team mates.

are they playing now?

Yes…for Windgap.
The whole clan went off.

yeah I knew there was an incident of one of them taking a lads head off and getting sent off and the club told them to fuck off for themselves, so they did. Are they togging out in Windgap now then? And how are they getting on there.

I have no further comment on the matter

I’d think you’re very right. He had really decent year with Galway. His stock is high. I’d imagine the miles alo e would make him take the kk job, that and he needs to catch the tide or there’s a chance it’ll be too late.

Fools don’t rush in. It’s a difficult act to follow and a bit like when Ferguson left united, it might take a while to find the right replacement. Henry will bide his time.

Timing is everything in life. John kiely turned down the Limerick job once.

Be pure madness to take the Kilkenny job now imo.

Maybe. I really hope he stays with us, he’s brilliant, but it’s a long road, and the kk job doesn’t come up often.

It’s not like he’d be walking into a winning team.

Henry is like a man on 20 with a lone Ace of Hearts in a 25 final. Play it and get it beaten or hold it and have if fleeced out of hand on the renege rule.

Heard he got sick of grown men calling him King Henry

On the OTB interview when asked about it, Fast Eddie said he didn’t want to be another David Moyes

It’ll come up far more often from now on.

Mick Fennelly is available and would be a grand fall guy for a year or two while the real contenders bide their time.
