Cody is putting out the cones
How did Tullaroan go the weekend lads?
Were Erin’s Own rated or was that 3pt win a middling result?
They ground out a win, Comer would be perennial battlers at the grade so a decent test even if a predictable one.
Was hoping they might avoid Ballyhale till final time, only themselves and the Boro might give Shamrocks a fright but now a Boro/Ballyhale final is highly likely where the Boro would be lacking physically as the sod softens.
Thanks for that
Looks like Thurles Sarsfields acted swiftly and decisively
Best of luck to him.
An aside but did he have ‘outside’ management/selectors with him in Thurles?
He had a man called Luke Jordan with him who i believe is also a Kilkenny man.
Would they not have 2 semi finals as a double header?
…
Odd one, only Boro/Thurles link I can think of is through the Carrolls.
Most eyes this weekend should be on Fenians/Freshford in the Inter relegation final, where drama is guaranteed @Midshipman_Asha
Brendan Carroll?
He was a selector too.
The Luke Jordan is actually Liam Egan, a Callan man. They had Trained/Coached the Boro previously.
Apologies, think there was a Luke Jordan involved too. Thought he was Kilkenny too but maybe not.
Fitness coach, from Tipp I believe.
TBF the article has Egan ID’d as Luke Jordan, maybe its a pseudonym for tax purposes!
I am told there is ongoing high drama in the Freshford set-up. After the defeat to St. Martin’s, the management team resigned/were sacked/gave up and they had to ask last year’s manager to step in for the relegation final.
Sacked/motion of no confidence supposedly, backed themselves at least.
Battle of the pubs now!
My information is that one of the selectors stepped away immediately after the match.
I gather the whole drama centered on a particular player but I couldn’t be sure of the details (heard several to be honest)
The Fenians are poor though, saw them against Danesfort, I think they may have managed to score about 1-11… but they are the relegation specialists and they are hardy.
Apparently there is unrest in Lisdowney and OLG also
Would know someone well enough in OLG set up and by all accounts there s a re-set imminent.
Was listening to the first half of the Mullinavat game who were a much more physical team and it sounded like they were able to win plenty of possession against the Boro but had na’er a forward to do anything with it. That won’t be the case against Ballyhale you’d imagine
