I wasn’t at it Billy. Who played well for the Lockes?

Ryan Bergin scored maybe 4 from play and all of his frees he was decent and yere only threat for a score really,Brion Kirwan got a couple but serious pace issues his points could have been goals, the goal ye did score was a long range effort which the squeogh keeper made a mess of. Some of the backs were solid enough,Gohery played well I thought.
The golden age crop of 12-14 Year olds can’t come through quick enough really…yeve a fair few to lose off this team shortly unfortunately.

Windgap win a penalty shoot out to prevail in the junior semi final against the boro. I could be wrong but in my lifetime i cant recall them ever making a county final or even winning a south championship.

Commentator on KCLR said it’s their first Junior Final since 1986. They were coasting at one stage leading 0-17 to 0-9. Ended up salvaging a draw from a penalty then in extra-time.

The 86 final was won on a scoreline of 1.11 to 2.01 against Danesfort! They also won a junior final in 1970. Was inter around then or were they senior?

  • They went senior

Blacks and Whites come back from 6 behind late on to win by one. 3-16 1-21

Reading the report of the Rower’s win last weekend and chatting to a buddy down there. Richie Leahy got 11 points and Darragh Joyce seems to be up and down the pitch involved in everything. Kieran Joyce centre-back. They’ll give Thomastown lots of it if they meet.

Ballyhale beat Tullaroan in a bit of a battle. Level at HT. 1-24 1-20 in the end.

Could be a good midfield option for KK? Badly need someone mobile and powerful in there

If he’s hanging around. My limited knowledge of it is that there is a small chance he might be picked up by some other club.

Him, Colin Fennelly and a fully firing Richie Leahy would be some boost for Lyng. We’re in Lucky Fifteen betting territory if all those were to happen though.

The village have the shamrocks exactly where they want them, Cody’s final dance

Leahy is a superb hurler, love watching him play, just don’t think he has the pace for the highest level.

Anyone else bar Donnelly make the breakthrough from Thomastown?

There’s an opportunity there for everyone now that Cody’s gone, you’d have to believe that there’s better hurlers in the county that just didn’t get a look because they were not Cody’s type of player

Ballyhale will bate seven shades of shit out of the Village.

God willing

Did Colin Fennelly not retire from inter-county? He must be 33ish now but I suppose he’d still do a job.

Same as that. Class to watch when he’s on a streak but maybe a man out of time in terms of the modern (Limerick prototype) hurler. You never know though.

Malarkey would probably know more but I remember CF’s exit being fairly non-committal. Would be great if Cody’s departure does free up the pipeline a bit.

Not hugely, Peter McDonald had a positive impact with the U20’s this year and may go on but not sure he’s bringing something to the table that’s not already there. JD’s health complications are a proper shame especially when it comes to the county team. He’s a good bit of stuff when right. His brief cameo and involvement in the 22 AIF had flashes of his performance in the 2019 semi-final, he was superb that day when you watch back.

His work rate when he’s on form is incredible, the prototype Cody half forward

Why did Cody mostly play him in the full forward line so?

I thought he played him mostly half forward to be honest

Maybe I’m wrong

He never played in FF line in my recollection.
