If anything, HS is now underrated – especially as regards his skill.
Probably the best freetaker of all time. Between him and TJ Reid.
HS was not the best taker of a penalty by any means – but still produced his best penalty at best possible time. TJR by far the best penalty taker of all time.

There are no quantifiable metrics as to who was the best ever free taker in inter county hurling, it’s not like the NFL stat wise, it’s purely a matter of opinion
