On paper you’d expect somewhat of a return in terms of All Ireland silverware from the above list but LMC’s aren’t won on paper and the name listed under Bainisteoir isn’t in anyway an indicator of potential success.

That’s because the foundations in Tipp remain rock solid unlike Kilkenny which is a mess.
Tipp have won 9 All Ireland’s across Minor/U20/Senior in the last 10 years (far more than anyone else) to Kilkenny’s paltry 1 at U20 in 2022.

The Kilkenny minor management team was confirmed following a County Board Meeting on Monday evening
Gordon Byrne (Erin’s Own) has been ratified as the Kilkenny minor hurling manager for a second season.
Adding further strength to the management team, nine-time All-Ireland winner Tommy Walsh (Tullaroan) who has come on board as a selector under Byrne.

Also ratified as part of his Management team were; Liam Lacey, St Patrick’s – Coach/Selector, Stephen Morgan, James Stephens – Coach/Selector, Billy Quinn, Mooncoin – Coach/Selector, Brian Doheny, John Lockes – Goalkeeping Coach/Selector and JJ Grace, St Lachtain’s –Strength & Conditioning/High Performance Coach/Selector.
