The amount of times he was in space to take the ball from a defender under pressure and make the clearance for the u21 game was incredible. He does the same for Na P and it is an attribute that probably isn’t acknowledged enough. He is great on the ball once he has it to deliver it well to the forwards. For the u21s he could do that job from midfield just as well, while Ryan would be stronger in the air and more physical at wing back. Win win.
For the seniors, he would be better than Dowling at wing forward. He is not fast but he is rangey and would be better at working back to help the defence or make himself available to take the ball.
You could probably post the same about the Leinster Hurling final without having to change a word.

I thought Lynch did very well at wing-back. I always thought he was a midfielder but I’m not sure he has the engine for midfield at the moment. At wing-back, he should get on a lot of ball, will provide good service to the forwards and could still get an odd score or two.
I’d be swapping the other Lynch with Ryan, thought he was quite marginalised at wing-forward.
this is not a game lynch will like he cant go in and out of this one

Town
English has to start.
Was on a stag in Kilkenny only three or four weeks ago, stayed in a place out by Bennettsbridge. Was cheap enough (€50 per person per night) and clean too. Only a ten minute taxi into town.
I’ll get the number off my pal and give them a buzz to see if they’ve any vacancies. (Stag was last minute thing and they sorted us out no bother).
