Kilmarnock v Celtic

Kilmarnock midfielder Craig Slater will miss Monday’s Sky Live visit of Celtic through suspension following his red card in Paisley on New Year’s Day.
Slater scored the match-winning penalty in an eventful 2-1 win over St Mirren, but picked up a second yellow card for his exuberant celebrations.
Defender Darryl Westlake, midfielder Sammy Clingan and striker Michael Ngoo remain unavailable for selection through injury.
Killie have lost their last six games against Celtic - including a 2-0 defeat in Glasgow in October - but victory here could lift them into the top half of the table.
Celtic winger James Forrest and defender Jason Denayer are expected to return from injury for the trip to Ayrshire.

Celtic have failed to win in their last two league games - but Craig Gordon says there’s no nervousness in the squad
Winger Wakaso Mubarak is also available, but striker Anthony Stokes remains out with a calf injury.
Defender Mikael Lustig may not be risked on the artificial surface as he feels his way back from a hamstring injury, while Charlie Mulgrew misses out again and Aleksandar Tonev is still suspended.
Celtic are now playing catch-up in the title race, albeit with a game in hand on Aberdeen, but manager Ronny Deila is not reaching for the panic button just yet.

James Forrest: Should return from injury for Celtic
He said: “The league position is a new situation, of course, but it is so early to talk about races. We are halfway through the season.
“But, with hindsight, our recent victory at Pittodrie was very important. It also showed that we could beat Aberdeen away from home. When we come to the beginning of April, then we can talk about a race, what’s going on and the pressure that is coming up.
“For now, we have to just win games and focus every single day on training and every game that is coming up. We will talk again on April 1 about the standings.
“Aberdeen are a good team. Many teams can have one good game then drop a lot of points but to get momentum going has been impressive. Inverness, I think, is maybe the most impressive team so far because they are playing good football and they have progressed."

Henderson, Commons and Scepovic all seemingly start in place of Griffiths, Guidetti and the injured Stokes

@celticfc: Celtic team to play Kilmarnock: Gordon; Matthews, Ambrose, van Dijk, Izaguirre; Brown, Bitton; Henderson, Johansen, Commons; Scepovic (MH)

Interesting. Looking forward to seeing Henderson and Scepovic. Not much width on that team though.

You’d think they’d have delayed the kick off to allow the crowd in

Celtic well on top here. Only a matter of time before we score I imagine

Several good openings and plenty of sharp play around their box but no goal yet. Commons also struck the bar with a snapshot from outside the box.

Commons blazes over from close range after another good move.

Commons hits wood for 2nd time. He could have had a hat trick at this stage

Brilliant, sweeping move and Commons smacks another one off the bar. Superb play by Henderson to start the move and a nice cutback by him too at the end.

Smart save by Gordon from a set piece header.

IZZY

Cracking finish by Izzy! Assist by Johansen.

Lovely finish by Emilio 1-0

Ah lovely. That goal had been coming today and coming for Izzy this season. He’s gone close a few times. Nice weight on the lift through from Johansen.

Celtic are harassing them and pressing hard from the front to win the ball back. Nice to see fat lads like Commons working hard too.

I wonder did Commons get a Nutribullet for Christmas - he looks full of verve.

Another lovely move ends with Commons going close again. Henderson and Bitton have been great.

Henderson has been really good. Another great piece of play to set up that latest Commons effort.

Excellent half. Only one up is a concern, bigger concern is the referee who looks keen on levelling things out.
