Reminds me of a story from a club in south galway. The club chairman was still playing junior but could barely see the ball so a friendly heave was put in place to get him off the field. They approached him and asked him would he manage the junior team the following year, buttered him up big time about his expertise etc. He said he would, when the following year came the squad togged out before the first game. They looked over to the chairman cum manager and said how are we lining out? His reply was, im playing corner back, i dont give a fuck what the rest of ye do.
McIntyre has hung Canning, Burke, Collins and Smith out in this weeks Tribune.
Hard to believe the Galway board or Cunningham, nice and all as he is, can see this ending any other way than with a new manager.
Tear it up and start again so.
Which Burke? I wouldâve guessed the other three
Any link to the McIntyre (the cunt) article?

Thats the damning thing for Cunningham. One of his own club menâŚ
Youâd imagine he could have asked to be excused on that basis, the fact that he didnât thoughâŚ
Do you have a link, or can you post a photo of the article?
Here you go buddy but itâs not all online unfortunately
The game looks over for Cunningham as team boss http://connachttribune.ie/the-game-looks-over-for-cunningham-as-team-boss-468/
Martin Breheny was on OTB last night saying that he wasnât taking any sides but was clearly taking Cunninghamâs side and the OTB crew took his argument apart and made him look like the awful tool that he is.
There seems to be a lot of conflicting stories doing the rounds about this but one thing for sure is that Cunninghamâs position is untenable and he should have done the right thing and stepped aside.
Seems bad form that David Burke wants a manager who stuck by him despite him not playing well for about two years out
Just because he wasnât playing well doesnât mean his opinion is invalid.
I was listening to it. Pure train crash.
That and the likes is the reason the cunt needs to goâŚ
AndâŚis Cunningham still a St Thomasâ club person as such? Is he not living in Roscommon for years and years?
Crazy thing is that if there was a different manager in there for the last 2 years, Burke wouldnât have got a game.
Mayhem between St Thomas and Loughrea today apparently.
Finished a draw with a controversial endingâŚ
The ref was the issue again. Blew up as James Regan was lining up to hit the winning score.
