May he rest in peace. A true great. No debate there.
Is this confirmed some saying heβs still hanging in there
I read it on Connacht tribune twitter account
RIP, 53 years old
The Connacht Tribune seem to have removed the tweet announcing his death.
Just got a text from an ex player saying he βvery low but not gone yetβ. The family asked the Connacht tribune to take the post down
Lets home he lives up to your name.
Why?
The man may be low but heβs still with us.
And I only watching the 1990 All Ireland final tonight on Eir Sport.
My God what a player.
Hopefully he hangs on.
It was the Hut in Phibsboro himself and Lynskey retired to after the 88 final. When he was announced on the Sunday Game as Man of the Match, Cyril went up to accept on his behalf. When Cyril was asked where was Keady, he responded that he had already gone into training for next year.
Reports on Tony Keady are incorrect and he is still with us.
Meelick Eyrecourt send Tony our best wishes and all of our hope. https://t.co/V2st6Nsa9b
