Remember being told that story growing up. The picture of them in the coffins is fairly gruesome.
Yeah that’s the picture I meant, fairly graphic. Them and mrs Quinn shot while holding the baby in kiltartan also mentioned in the article were often discussed and repeated 70+ years later when I was in school. We all knew exactly where these things took place. No term carried more venom than Black and Tans, a few lads around who’s parents were English (often hippies squatting on @KinvarasPassion land) often got called tans in the middle of a row. No greater insult.

Nogra stands for freedom,for collective individuality, for the rights of all men. It stands forever.
It’s also a famous townland/village in kinvara but in tfk folklore is the name for South Galway and it’s peculiar inhabitants and natives.
