He was worse with both shoulders against limerick in 2018
Have they checked under the beds ?
JP is covering that deficit in lieu of appointing the Limerick lad as manager. His shrudest investment yet.
We need a dig out lads.
The first of 3 underage teams playing this weekend.
…
Nigel’s nephew at wing back.
A Kilcommins from Annaghdown in each squad there, presumably brothers. Annaghdown are a great little club really.
Kevin Howley is some man down there for the hurling
5 or 6 of that squad going to school in Claregalway I’d say. The loss of Jarlaths hit Galway football badly, Claregalway may be about to pick up the slack. Some amount of teachers who played intercounty on the books there, and clubs around it getting stronger too.
I wouldn’t know much about them at all, I know they were junior for years but are fairly strong intermediate now. I can’t imagine they have a huge pick there but they keep hurling and football going.
Claregalway are up to senior A alright in the Connacht schools next year.
Amazingly I couldn’t find Mary’s in the A, B or even C. Unless I missed them. Shows how far GAA has fallen there for a former regular contender for A titles.
Fintan O’Curraoin, Maurice Sheridan, Paul Conroy, Cyril Donnellan all teaching there I think, and a few women who played intercounty as well. You can bring a lad so far playing with a club but to get the extra bit from him he has to be at it in school.
Mary’s has gone to the dogs as far as I’ve been told
They were in the Hogan Cup final as recently as 2005. Now not even in A, B or C in Connacht. That is some fall. I know they lost the boarders alright but still.
Is St Mary’s the one near the hospital in the city?
Yep. That’s the one.
Gone to the dogs in every way I’ve been told
Used to use the hurling walls/handball alleys there the odd time. Serious grounds there anyway
