Played there a good few times. They have massive grounds and a load of pitches. At least they did the last time I was there.
They lost the borders and I think they are the most popular school in Galway city for new Irish who wouldnât necessarily be attracted to GAA as a first choice I suppose. Used to be a serious football and soccer school. Not so much hurling although they dabbled in it from memory.
Their numbers have dropped off completely, there was talk for a while they may have to close up entirely. Instead they are amalgamating with a girls school to keep things going.
Not a huge fan of him in goals but youâd have to have been a heartless bastard not to feel for him with the amount of dogs abuse heâd get from his own supporters.
