King Henry of Galway (Part 1) 👑

Played there a good few times. They have massive grounds and a load of pitches. At least they did the last time I was there.

They lost the borders and I think they are the most popular school in Galway city for new Irish who wouldn’t necessarily be attracted to GAA as a first choice I suppose. Used to be a serious football and soccer school. Not so much hurling although they dabbled in it from memory.

Their numbers have dropped off completely, there was talk for a while they may have to close up entirely. Instead they are amalgamating with a girls school to keep things going.

Yeah just checked there and they only have 400 odd pupils. Nearly sure they had 800+ back in 90’s.

Lets hope long Covid is not a factor in the big game tomorrow

Expected team more or less but no James McLaughlin? Just seen he has a knee problem. Big loss.

Of course he is. Dylan and Nigel

The poster child for Galway goalkeeping.
I’d say SON is making a few phonecalls the last coupe of weeks

Going full time with the Gogglebox. Thank god.

Not a huge fan of him in goals but you’d have to have been a heartless bastard not to feel for him with the amount of dogs abuse he’d get from his own supporters.

Terrible news out of Salthill.

RIP

Heard that. Absolutely tragic.

Awful, rip.

RIP.

Awful.

Any reason they would regurgitate an article from 2018 with a different publication. You’d swear it was an exercise in cheap clickbait or something

Wait til Joe retires, we’ll see some grandstanding then…with Joe pretending to be all modest and humble

He’s a very very odd man
