Plenty recent winning minors and the U-20 side from pre-Christmas were looking good until COVID shut everything down. It might take a year or two for those players to start coming onto the senior team though.

Conor Cooney is on borrowed time, but SON likes to have him tracking back, where he mainly gives away stupid frees. Niland is a serious prospect imo. He may be a tad small for the modern game though.
Glad Daithi and Joe aren’t playing. Nothing to be gained having them togged on Saturday.

What happened with Murphy today?
Took a big wind up as he tried for a booming clearance downfield and got hooked by the Westmeath player and it ended up in the back of his net.
Jaysus, sounds Skehill-esque, I just hope it wasn’t Glennon who hooked him.
How did we go otherwise? Anything stand out
He had very little to do really so not ideal to still produce the stereotypical Galway goalkeeper howler. He looks a good keeper in a lot of ways but you just can’t afford these errors at the highest level.
