Last 7 Galway managers - the four Galway natives, Michael O’Donoghue, Anthony Cunningham, Conor Hayes and Noel Lane have all got Galway to an All Ireland Final.
The three outside managers Shane O’Neill, Ger Loughnane and John McIntyre across a cumulative total of 7 seasons made just 1 semi final and no final.

- He claimed Cunningham had them playing a 15 v 15 after the drawn game and they were all flat for the replay.
Galway need to find a manager from within. Outside managers have never really worked in Galway hurling.
